July: a month of holiday and friendship.
Summer holidays, favorite part of the year
June is challenging for all students – the school year ends and that brings with it endless amount of tests and exams. In the end, everyone gets their reward in the form of report card and can start enjoying the summer holidays!
Originally, these so called major holidays were celebrated in September and October, but at the end the 18th century they were moved to July and August. The emperor of that time, Joseph II., moved them, so that children could help their parents work in the fields in August.
But today, summer holidays are fortunately a symbol of peace and relaxation. However, everybody relaxes differently – some people prefer active vacation on which they go hiking in the mountains or they ride a bike, others prefer physically undemanding stays abroad, where they can enjoy sunny beaches, or inland, where we can also find many amazing places for relaxation. If you travel with kids, it is always helpful to take some entertainment, too. In this regard, our board games are the best and practical partner. They are made of high-quality beech wood, therefore you do not have to worry about parts flying off. Besides, thanks to their undemanding nature, they are also suitable for the youngest children.
July 30 – International Day of Friendship
This important day was established in 2011 by the United Nations. It celebrates not only friendships among people, but is also reminds us of the importance of friendly relations between different states and cultures. Formerly, this holiday was most often celebrated by sending postcards, however today, people keep in touch with each other through social networks, so sending postcards is rather on the decline.
Friendship is very important aspect of the life of each of us, so it is worth to think about how much we like our friends at least once a year. One of the things that greatly strengthen every friendship is creating common experiences. Therefore you can plan interesting trip for this day, go out for something good to eat together or you can stay at home and play one of our board games. Even thought they are intended rather for kids, adults will also have a lot of fun playing them, because the most important thing is that we spent some time with our friends.
